David Izquierdo was born in Bilbao (Spain) in 1981. He received his MSc degree in communications engineering from the University of Zaragoza in 2004, where he is currently working towards the PhD degree based on the study of large core optical waveguides. Since 2004, he has been working with the Photonic Technologies Group (GTF) from the University of Zaragoza, under a research grant. His research interests include integrated optics, optochemical sensors, optical characterization instrumentation and broadband communications systems.
